Websites are an investment and make money, repeat websites make money!!!
There is no other reason to have a website as a small business other than to make money.
Therefore they are an investment.
Don’t ever begrudge spending money to make more money.
When you look at the price of a website, you can calculate how much an average job earns you and work out how quickly your website will pay for itself.
For instance if you offer a service that costs £500, then you know that it only takes 3 new customers for your website to pay for itself.
What does a website let you do?
Visitors to your site are generally not there for a long time, or a good time.
They want confirmation that you do what they think you do, and that you are professional.
It’s not uncommon for a prospective customer to go through this process:
- Land on your home page, see it’s professional and get that good first impression.
- Get immediate confirmation that you do what they think you do.
- See some testimonials from happy customers.
- Look at some examples of previous work.
That is a short process, 5 minutes tops.
However, if they get all of the above, then you have established some trust.
Trust turns prospective customers into paying clients.
